Saddle
Ridge Bed & Breakfast is a 100-acre country farm located 2
miles from the Lincoln Highway (Route 30). We sit on one of the highest
plateaus
in the Allegheny Mountains – in the heart of the Laurel
Highlands.
The
outside and inside of our home were completely remodeled in 1999, so
you will enjoy all new amenities and luxurious rooms.
A geothermal heat pump
provides central heat and air conditioning for your comfort. Our
game room is equipped with various games & puzzles and a pool
table for your enjoyment. We offer a full country breakfast,
served with grandma's favorite homemade sweet rolls, a house specialty (Served
in front of the fireplace on those cold winter mornings).
The
front porch is a great place to sit and relax, read a good book
or capture those beautiful sunsets.
Weather
permitting our outdoor patio is the perfect place to sip that first cup
of coffee (or tea) and watch the sun rise and marvel at the views of the
Allegheny Mountains.
Stargazing
is superb on warm summer nights, and weather permitting, you can sit
around our evening campfire with dancing flames and sparks lazily rising
into the star-filled heavens. Marshmallows and toasting sticks for making "s'mores" are
sure to bring back childhood memories. Depending on the season, you're
free to enjoy hiking, birdwatching, or crosscountry skiing on our 100
acres of rolling farmland. Sightings of deer and wild turkey are a commonplace.
Of
course, if you would like to check out the animals in the barn, we can arrange
that too. In case you didn't know,
goats can be quite affectionate and often make great pets. If you
